How time flies! It seems only yesterday that we celebrated the third birthday of the blog and now, one more year, gone… We’ve crossed some important milestones over the past year — we welcomed our millionth visitor and now feature more than 1,050 posts and more than 12,000 comments — and we’ve continued to see vigorous growth in readership over the past year.

While I enjoy talking about financial matters immensely, I doubt that I would continue writing if it weren’t for you, dear reader. So, to thank you for your comments, e-mails, words of encouragement and just reading, I’m celebrating by holding another giveaway.

Giveaway: The response for the previous few giveaways has been terrific but I’ve been feeling guilty about the low odds of winning. To rectify matters, I’m giving away ten copies of National Post columnist Jonathan Chevreau’s latest book Findependence Day. I’m part way through the book (read the first chapter here) but it’s already clear that it would make a great gift for someone starting out or looking to straighten up their finances.

Entering your name in the giveaway is, as usual, quite simple: Just leave a comment to this post (please don’t send me an email) and don’t forget to include your email address. There are just a few simple rules:

  1. Deadline for entries is 8 p.m. EST on Friday, November 28, 2008.
  2. One entry per person.
  3. Canadian residents only.
  4. I treat your privacy very seriously and your email address will be used for the sole purpose of contacting you if you happen to win.
  5. I’ll pick ten entries at random and announce the winner after the deadline.

Thanks once again and good luck!
