  1. With Budget 2011 presented in Parliament this week, a lot of ink was spilt on the measures contained in it. Larry MacDonald reported from the lock-up that most proposals were focused on curtailing the tax planning activities of investors.
  2. Rob Carrick reported on the modest initiatives in the budget to boost the Guaranteed Income Supplement and the few new tax credits.
  3. The BBC (Blunt Bean Counter) calls the Budget, a “nothing budget” and has a list of items that middle and higher income earners would have liked to seen in the budget.

  8. Frugal Trader is daunted by the long list of tax issues Canadians face when purchasing a property in Florida.
  9. Money Smarts Blog reviewed Interactive Brokers, a discount broker popular among the traders.
  10. Canadian Couch Potato interviewed Rick Ferri to find out why he went from being a stock broker to building index portfolio for clients.
  11. Squawk Fox explains the five investing fees that devour your savings.
